MUSIC AT CKS

Learning instruments and listening to music can help improve reading and verbal skills, mathematical reasoning, and can even raise your IQ. This helps to explain why CKS takes their music program so seriously.

In the classroom at CKS, students of all ages are introduced to instruments and many styles and genres of music. By the time a student graduates from CKS, they will both have an appreciation for everything from Miles Davis to Beethoven to Led Zeppelin. They also will have a be able to read and notate music, perform on instruments a varied body of music, and understand music in conjunction with history and culture.
